On September 16, 2018, the "International Elite Association China UK Cultural Exchange Event" jointly organized by the International Elite Association and the Redstone Cultural and Art Center was successfully held at the State Guest Hall of the Redstone Cultural and Art Center. The purpose of this event is to facilitate cultural and artistic exchanges between China and the UK, share a millennium old well, and witness the launch ceremony of the "International Elite Association - China UK Cultural and Artistic Exchange Center".

The guests attending this event include: Lord Mike Bates, Minister for International Development of the British government, Li Xuelin, Chairman of the International Elite Association (UK), renowned financial economist Ma Weihua, Cheng Lu, Chairman of the China Western Promotion Association, Hu Zhirong, Chairman of the International Elite Association, Shen Feng, Chairman of Hongshi Fengming Group, Li Yi, President of JPMorgan China, Tian Yu, President of CITIC Industrial Fund, Li Lanjun, Chairman of Tianjun Investment Group, Liu Jigang, Chairman of Beijing Jingang Haiyuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Jiang Chenghong, Director of Far East Holdings Group, Xu Yongquan, Director of Business Development of Nomura Securities Beijing, Liu Xiaoyang, President of Hongshi Cultural and Creative Center, and nearly 30 well-known entrepreneurs and members of the International Elite Association.

During the event, elite leaders such as Chairman Hu Zhirong, Lord and Mrs. Bates, President Ma Weihua, and Chairman Shen Feng delivered speeches and expressed their deep wishes for the friendly relations between China and the UK. Lord Bates used four stories to illustrate the origins of the development of Sino British relations. Afterwards, Lady Bates shared the story of 'Lord Mike Bates, who walked thousands of miles for love' with the guests present. Lord Bates once conducted a charity hiking trip in China for over two months. He walked about 1700 kilometers under the scorching sun, donating the funds raised to charitable causes in China and calling on people to cherish peace.

Subsequently, in the presence of all guests, Lord and Mrs. Bates, Chairman Hu Zhirong, President Ma Weihua, and Chairman Shen Feng jointly unveiled the plaque for the landing of the "International Elite Association China UK Cultural and Art Exchange Center" at the Redstone Cultural and Creative Center.
